Philippine Tourist Destinations Gather Interest from Cambodians and EXPATS in Cambodia at A Business Exhibition

PHNOM PENH 29 September 2023 – The Philippine Embassy participated in the 1Khmer B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) Exhibition held on 22-24 September 2023 at the Olympia Mall Indoor Exhibition Hall in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The Embassy’s booth gathered significant interest from Cambodians and expats living in Phnom Penh as it showcased popular Philippine tourist destinations. Brochures, videos, and other information materials on Philippine tourism were also available in the booth.

Attendees were able to show their LOVE for the Philippines by participating in a short survey conducted by the Philippine Embassy regarding their knowledge of the Philippines and their interest in visiting. Those who successfully completed the survey were given tokens of appreciation such as pearl and capiz items, Filipino snacks, Filipino liquor samplers, and other fun items promoting the Philippines.

Visitors indicated interest in places such as Manila, Cebu, Palawan, and Boracay. They mostly want to experience the Philippines’ beaches, taste Filipino food, go shopping, and experience indigenous culture.Engage Cambodia organized the 1Khmer B2B and B2C Exhibition, supported by Cambodian government agencies with about 80 exhibitors, including major sponsors such as ABA Bank, Smart Axiata, and Hanuman.END
