MANAMA 04 October 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Anne Jalando-on Louis attended the grand inauguration of the LuLu Hypermarket in Gudaibiya, Kingdom of Bahrain, on 30 September 2023. It is the 10th branch of Lulu Hypermarket in Bahrain and carries a wide range of both food and non-food PHL products, including frozen food, biscuits, canned goods, cooking ingredients, ready-to-bake goods and personal care items such as soaps and various skin care products.
The Chief Guest at the inauguration was His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Also present at the event were Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, Industry and Commerce Minister Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Mr. Yusuff Ali Musaliam Veettil Abdul Kader, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International, Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) CEO Nibras Mohammed Talib, Thai Ambassador Piyapak Sricharoen, Indian Ambassador Vinod K. Jacob, and other guests.
The new Lulu Hypermarket in Gudaibiya, where many Filipinos and other expatriates work and reside, will bring PHL products closer, not only to Filipinos, but also to both locals and foreign residents in the area. END
