PH Ambassador Leads Inauguration of Filipino Food Festival 2023 in Abu Dhabi

Philippine Ambassador to the UAE H.E. Alfonso A. Ver, together with officials from Lulu Group International, led the opening of the Filipino Festival 2023 on 5 October 2023 at Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi, UAE. 

ABU DHABI 09 October 2023 – At the Filipino Food Festival 2023 inaugurated on 05 October 2023 at Lulu Hypermarket in Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi, Philippine Ambbasador to the UAE Alfonso A. Ver said, "Today as we inaugurate the Filipino Food Festival in Lulu Hypermarkets, we are proud to share with our friends in the UAE a slice of Philippine culture through our food. Food is vital to all cultures but Filipinos have a unique way of seeing food as a way to celebrate life, through fiestas, an expression of gratitude to the heavens marked by sharing of wonderful delicious food amongst friends and family. We thank Lulu Hypermarkets for helping bring to the UAE a diverse range of products that Filipinos love, for sharing with Emiratis and all the 200 plus nationalities. This is another way where Filipinos blend harmoniously with other communities in the UAE, a bright thread in the colorful multicultural fabric of UAE society.”

Lulu Group International is the largest chain and owns most of the malls where the hypermarkets are located as the anchor tenant. Lulu Group International imports more than 40 forty-foot containers a month of Filipino products to fill their shelves to cater to a growing consumer base not just Filipinos but crossing over to other nationalities who have made some of our homegrown products their own favorites. 

The best of Filipino food products will be showcased in Lulu Filipino Festival 2023, which will run from 5 October until 11 October 20223 in all Lulu Hypermarkets in the UAE. END
