DOST-PNRI and I2EN Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Capacity Building in the Field of Nuclear Energy between the Philippines and France

VIENNA 13 October 2023 – The Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (DOST-PNRI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Institute of Nuclear Energy (I2EN) to increase cooperation in capacity building in the nuclear field between the Philippines and France. The signing was held at the sidelines of the 67th International Atomic Energy Agency General Conference (67th IAEA GC).

DOST-PNRI Director Carlo A. Arcilla and I2EN Executive Director Karen Daifuku signed the MOU on behalf of their respective institutions. The general aim of the MOU is to implement and sustain high-level programs in the fields of training to develop the human resources with the knowledge, and skills necessary for the safe and secure operation of nuclear facilities and activities. The MOU also aims to support the capabilities building of the workforce in the development phase of the Philippines’ nuclear program. END
