PH Embassy in Doha, Department of Agriculture Host Webinar on Private Farms as Agricultural Learning Sites

DOHA 23 October 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Qatar, together with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Office of the Agricultural Attaché in Dubai, hosted the third session of the Agribusiness Webinar Series on 06 October 2023.

Entitled “How to Establish and Accredit Your Private Farm as an Agricultural Learning Site,” the webinar provided an extensive discussion of the procedures for the certification of learning sites for agriculture, accreditation of private extension service providers, and provision of grants.

Participated in by over 60 participants from various Filipino community groups in Qatar, the webinar also included an overview of the “Micro Agri-kabuhayan Para sa Balikbayan Program,” a joint initiative between the DA and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) designed for OFWs returning to the Philippines.
