PH Embassy Repatriates Undocumented Filipino in Distress in Russia

MOSCOW 23 October 2023 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) through the Philippine Embassy in Moscow, Russian Federation, facilitated the repatriation of an undocumented Filipino in distress.
The 58-year-old Filipina previously worked as a household service worker in Moscow, but eventually lost her job due to her illness. She was diagnosed with cavitary/pulmonary aspergillosis.
Airfare expenses were paid for and documents/clearances were arranged by the Philippine Embassy in Moscow.
The overseas worker arrived in the Philippines and was reunited with her family on 17 October 2023. END
