PH Embassy in Prague Turns Over Philippine Traditional Clothes to the Czech Town of Litoměříce

LITOMĚŘÍCE 26 October 2023 - Philippine Ambassador to Czech Republic Eduardo Martin R. Meñez, together with former Czech Ambassador to the Philippines Jana Šediva, turned over Filipino traditional clothes to Mayor Radek Löwy of Litoměříce on 11 September 2023. Bayo Atelier donated the clothes that will be displayed at the Blumentritt-Rizal Bastion, where memorabilia on Philippine – Czechia relations are on permanent exhibit.

Also present during the turnover ceremony were Deputy Mayors Alena Rožcová, Jiří Adámek and Petr Panaš and Assistant to the Mayor Jana Váchová.

Litoměříce holds a historical significance in Philippine-Czech relations due to the friendship of Dr. Jose Rizal and Prof. Ferdinand Blumentritt that predates the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. END
