Philippine Honorary Consul in Halifax Honored by Nova Scotia Premier and Legislative Assembly

OTTAWA 27 October 2023 – The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada congratulates Philippine Honorary Consul Consuelo “Connie” Lacson on the recognition from Premier Timothy Houston and the House of Assembly of the Province of Nova Scotia honoring her outstanding leadership and public service, for representing the Filipino community and breaking barriers for women of Filipino heritage in Nova Scotia, and creating links between the Philippines and Nova Scotia.

Resolution No. 701 was tabled by the 64th General Assembly of the Province of Nova Scotia on 13 October 2023.

In her congratulatory letter to Consul Lacson, Philippine Ambassador to Canada Maria Andrelita S. Austria expressed her commitment to “continuing working with you in further strengthening the relations between the Philippines and Nova Scotia, delivering more effective and efficient consular services to our kababayan, and in uplifting the general welfare of Filipinos in Nova Scotia.” END
