First Batch of Overseas Filipinos from Gaza Return to the Philippines

CAIRO 10 November 2023 – The first batch of 35 are now heading to the Philippines. Embassy officers and staff, led by Ambassador Ezzedin Tago, assisted the group at the Cairo International Airport for their flight. While in Cairo, the Embassy made arrangements for medical checkups, visas and flights.  An Embassy team, led by Vice Consul Bojer Capati, remains near the Rafah border ready to receive and assist more Filipinos.
