PH Ambassador Presents Credentials to Ecuadorian President

Philippine non-resident Ambassador to Ecuador hands over her Letters of Credence to H.E. Guillermo Lasso, President of the Republic of Ecuador.

QUITO 16 November 2023 – PH Ambassador Celeste Vinzon-Balatbat presented her Letters of Credence to Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso in elaborate ceremonies at the Carondelet Presidential Palace in Quito on 14 November 2023.  Eight other diplomats representing Jordan, Denmark, Portugal, Bulgaria, Finland, Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, and Georgia presented their Letters of Credence as non-resident ambassadors to Ecuador. The Ambassador was accompanied by Minister and Consul General Jim Tito B. San Agustin.

President Lasso stressed the important role being played by nonresident Ambassadors in enhancing their countries’ bilateral relations with Ecuador, even as he looked forward to having more countries open resident foreign missions in his country.  He also bade farewell to the Ambassadors as he is due to step down as President at the end of the month.
