PH Embassy in Jordan Facilitates Successful Border Crossing of 5 Filipinos from the West Bank

AMMAN 23 November 2023 — On 22 November 2023, Philippine Ambassador to Jordan Wilfredo C. Santos led the Philippine Embassy Team, together with Labor Attaché Armi Evangel N. Peña and MWO team, in facilitating the border crossing of the five Filipinos from the West Bank to the Jordanian side at the King Hussein Bridge, border of the West Bank and Jordan.
The Philippine Embassy provided transportation to the five Filipinos, who were fetched at their respective residences in the West Bank and brought to the Allenby border crossing on the Israeli side, where they were met and assisted by Amman PE officers and personnel who facilitated their entry to Jordan through the King Hussein bridge crossing.
Ambassador Santos together with Second Secretary and Consul Angeli A. Payumo, Labor Attaché Peña, and ATN/Translator Issa Mohammad Mofleh also met with King Hussein Border Authority Head Col. Rafat Al Maietah to express their gratitude for the assistance extended to the Philippine Embassy and to discuss the possible crossing of more Filipinos from the West Bank when the situation in the area further escalates.
The five Filipinos are bound to return home to the Philippines on 23 November 2023. END
