PH Embassy in Manama Holds Outreach Activity for Filipino Community Concerns

MANAMA 30 November 2023 – The Philippine Embassy in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, organized an outreach activity for the members of the Filipino community entitled Magtanong sa Pasuguan, which was held on 24 November 2023 at the Embassy.

This activity provided an opportunity to Filipinos in Bahrain to come to the Embassy for their inquiries or concerns involving the Embassy’s services or other relevant matters. It was particularly beneficial for those who are not able to visit the Embassy on weekdays.

The Embassy’s Consular Section, Assistance-to-Nationals Unit, Migrant Workers Office, OWWA Office, and SSS Office were open and manned by personnel to address the various concerns of clients. Moreover, the Embassy also conducted Overseas Voting Registration.

The Embassy also coordinated with Pag-IBIG to provide an online consultation facility for Filipinos who had questions about their Pag-IBIG membership and other concerns. The Embassy’s Consular Section provided the necessary equipment to enable the OFs to have a video call with Pag-IBIG representatives from the Pag-IBIG OFW Center in Pasay City, Philippines. The Embassy extends its appreciation to Ms. Nova Pala of Pag-IBIG and to Pag-IBIG online consultants Mr. Ronald Ramos, Ms. Carissa Rosales, and Ms. Mary Ann Cabiad.

A total of 148 Filipinos participated in the Embassy’s initial “Magtanong sa Pasuguan” activity. END
