PH Consulate General Holds Consular Outreach “Konsulado ko, Bukas ng Linggo”

GENEVA 30 NOVEMBER 2023 – The Consulate General in Geneva held a consular and passport outreach dubbed as Konsulado ko, Bukas ng Linggo in partnership with the Migrant Worker’s Office (MWO) and EPER, a Geneva-based NGO who is assisting migrants by providing counseling services on regularization of status, housing, and employment matters last 19 November 2023. 

A total of 30 services comprising passport, notarial and OEC were dispensed to applicants during the outreach.

For the Continuing Overseas Voting Registration for the 2025 Midterm elections, a total of 13 Filipinos were registered. 

In the outreach, the Consulate General partnered with EPER, represented by Filipina caseworker Ms. Marife de Sagon, which dealt with different issues concerning Filipinos. Employment opportunities in Geneva, housing and wage concerns, were a few important issues tackled by EPER with Filipinos who sought counseling and in discussions with the Consulate General and MWO, represented by Atty. Cheryl Daytec.

The consular outreach program is held twice a year for the benefit of Filipino residents in the cantons of Geneva and Vaud, including the city of Geneva. END
