PH Consulate General in Xiamen Marks Online Presence in China

XIAMEN 01 December 2023 – In an effort to ramp up its public diplomacy activities in China, the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen successfully launched its official WeChat account on 29 November 2023.

Philippine Consul General to Xiamen Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena delivered the announcement on WeChat, China’s largest messaging, social media, and payment platform, with 1.3 billion active monthly users.

“Through this account, Filipino and Chinese users can easily check the latest news and information about the Consulate’s activities and services. I hope this small step towards connecting to the Filipino and Chinese public can go a long way towards further cementing the friendly relations between our two countries,” she said.
