Philippine Beers, Spirits Relished at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2023

HONG KONG 05 December 2023 – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, together with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center Hong Kong (PTIC-HK), facilitated the showcase of Philippine beers and spirits at the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair 2023 held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) last 03 to 05 November 2023.

The Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), provides a platform to create business opportunities for makers, importers, wholesalers and retailers of wines, spirits, and their food pairings. This year, the 15th edition of the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair gathered more than 500 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions and was attended by around 7,000 buyers from 49 countries and regions and around 9,000 wine and spirits enthusiasts.

Fairgoers indulged themselves to locally-crafted and brewed beers and Filipino snacks from the following Philippine companies:

  • EngkantoBrewery – Most Internationally Awarded Philippine Brewery;
  • Philippine Craft Distillers Inc. (PCDI) – maker of “Lakan,”a Gold Award-recipient at the 53rdWorld Selection of Spirits and Liquors 2015;
  • San Miguel Brewery – produced iconic and world-class beers (Red Horse, San Miguel Pale Pilsen, San Miguel Light);
  • Sagada Cellar Door – the first craft brewery from the Mountain Province town in the Cordillera Administrative Region that make use of local ingredients like Balatinao black rice, orange zest, and wildflower sunflower honey; and
  • Liwayway Group – one of Asia’s leading food multinational corporations.

The Consulate supports the promotion of Philippine alcoholic beverages with its unique flavor blends worthy to be globally shared and enjoyed. END
