DFA Repatriates Undocumented Filipino Family in Russia in time for Christmas

MOSCOW 21 December 2023 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) through the Philippine Embassy in Moscow, Russian Federation, facilitated the repatriation of an undocumented Filipino family in Russia. 

The common-law spouses worked without proper migration documents in Moscow for four years, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have a three-year old son born in Russia.

The Embassy assisted the family in securing all necessary immigration documents. Airfare expenses and administrative fines were paid through the ATN Fund.

The Filipino family arrived in the Philippines on 17 December 2023. END
