Leading Telecommunications Company Highlights Inroads in Philippines’ Interconnectivity Efforts

HONOLULU 24 January 2024— Executives from PLDT Global Corporation (PCG) highlighted the inroads made by the Philippines in interconnectivity at a cocktail reception hosted by PCG at the Rainbow Suits and Patio of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort on 21 January 2024.

Consul Grace Bulos, who was present at the event and represented the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu was pleased to learn of the leading telecommunications company’s launch of ePLDT’s 11th hyperscale data center, the Vitro Sta. Rosa Data Center, this coming July. The hyperscale facility will be equipped with at least three fiber routes to guarantee network diversity, resilience and carrier-neutrality. Designed based on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, Vitro Sta. Rosa will also implement global-call sustainability practices in design, supply, and building operations.

A team from PGC is in Honolulu to participate in the 2024 Pacific Telecommunications Council Annual Conference (PTC’24), which gathers the global communications industry and provides participants with a platform to focus on planning, networking, and discovering innovations and partnerships in the industry of information and communication technology (ICT). The PTC’24 was held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, last January 21 to 24, 2024. END
