Jollibee Celebrates Milestone with Inauguration of its 100th Store in North America and 4th Store in British Columbia

SURREY, BRITISH COLUMBIA 26 January 2024— Jollibee, an international fast-food chain from the Philippines, opened its new branch in Surrey, British Columbia on Thursday, 25 January. The Surrey Strawberry Hill location is the fourth Jollibee in the Metro Vancouver region, but it represents another milestone for the fast-food franchise- it is the chain’s 100th restaurant in North America. 

The inauguration ceremony was held on 24 January 2024 which was attended by the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver, represented by Consul Analyn Ratonel, Councilor Pardeep Kooner from the City of Surrey, Jollibee management executives, members of the media, and the Filipino community.

Hosted by Filipino celebrity Martin Nievera, the event commenced with a ribbon cutting followed by the remarks from the President of Jollibee North America, Ms. Maribeth de la Cruz.  She also expressed her gratitude for the unwavering support from the Filipino community and highlighted Jollibee's commitment to bringing the authentic flavors of the Philippines to a global audience.  Consul Ratonel, in turn, acknowledged the significance of Jollibee as a cultural ambassador promoting the rich culinary heritage of the Philippines. She also expressed her thanks to Jollibee for bringing ‘home’ closer to Filipinos in British Columbia. END
