Change of Command Ceremony for Combined Maritime Forces Task Force 151 on Anti-Piracy Held in Bahrain

A Change of Command Ceremony for the CMF Task Force 151 on Anti-Piracy was held at the US Naval Forces Central Command Headquarters in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain on 23 January 2024. During the ceremony, Captain Mateo Carido of the Philippine Navy (leftmost) turned over command of CTF 151 to Rear Admiral Antonio Braz de Souza (rightmost) of the Brazilian Navy in the presence of Commodore Mark Anderson (center) of the British Royal Navy and Deputy Commander of the CMF.

The Philippine Navy assumed command of CTF 151 on 23 August 2023 from the Republic of Korea. CTF 151 is one of the Task Forces under the CMF with the mandate of combating and suppressing piracy in the region through engagement and collaboration with various stakeholders.
