RIYADH 08 February 2024 – The Philippine Embassy, led by Chargé d'Affaires Rommel Romato, held a productive meeting with Mr. Marcus Schrauf, Chief Executive Officer for Renewables (Solar) of FAS Energy on 24 January 2024.

The discussion focused on potential opportunities for FAS Energy to engage in the Philippines' flourishing solar energy sector, leveraging the Maharlika Investment Corporation and the country's favorable geographic, weather, and socio-economic conditions.

The Philippines has been actively pursuing clean energy solutions, with solar power playing a pivotal role in its national energy plan. The country's vast natural resources and growing demand for electricity make it a prime target for solar photovoltaic (PV) investments.

This dialogue marks a promising step towards unlocking the Philippines' solar power potential and accelerating its transition to a nation supported by a cleaner and more sustainable energy source. END
