AGANA 20 February 2024 – In observance of National Arts Month, the Philippine Consulate General in Guam organized an Art Workshop at Sentro Rizal Agana on 10 February 2024. Members of the Consular Corps, officials of the Japan Club of Guam and personnel of Agana PCG were among the participants of the workshop.
The 2-hour Art Workshop was facilitated by Mr. Rolly Zepeda, one of the featured artists of the Consulate General’s ongoing art exhibit, Pintig Ng Sining. Mr. Zepeda is an Art Teacher and a Board Member of the Guam Council for the Arts and Humanities Agency (CAHA). It has been his desire to impart his love for arts to his students and to art enthusiasts who wish to learn how to draw, paint and to make a works of art out of pencil and pastel scribbles. Aside from learning the basics of art, the workshop aimed to foster friendship among the members of the Consular Corps and the international community in Guam and provide an outlet to relieve stress.
Indeed, all the participants enjoyed the workshop as they became instant artists after a two-hour workshop as illustrated in the photos below. END
