LOS ANGELES 01 March 2024 – As part of its commitment to continuously improve the delivery of consular services, the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles will start accepting payments made using credit cards issued by major banks in the US, including Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. The new mode of payment will take effect on 05 March 202.

“This new mode of payment will make transacting with the Consulate that much easier and more convenient. With this additional payment option, applicants need not worry about bringing cash to pay for their transactions. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to constant improvement for the benefit of Filipinos and the transacting public. I am pleased to bear witness to this milestone just before I conclude my tour of duty here in Los Angeles,” Consul General Edgar B. Badajos remarked during the signing.

The Consulate General will continue accepting cash payments, money order and manager’s checks for those who prefer to pay through these modes. Payments made using a credit card will be charged a 4% additional convenience fee by the service provider with whom the Consulate General has contracted to set-up the e-payment system. END
