MEXICO 04 March 2024 – PH Ambassador to Mexico Lilybeth R. Deapara and the Embassy staff visited the Sculpture Gallery of Mr. Eduardo Olbes, a famous Filipino artist based in Tepoztlán, Morelos, Mexico, on 24 February 2024.

Mr. Olbes’ artworks are often characterized by their unique use of materials such as jade and onyx, which breathe life into pieces with extraordinary beauty and detail. His works frequently feature abstract and geometric designs, emphasizing his skills as an artist and his reverence for his cultural heritage.

The work of Mr. Olbes is informed by the aesthetic traditions of his native Asia and strongly influenced by his deep studies of the artistic expressions of other cultures. END
