VANCOUVER 12 March 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver and the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) San Francisco (SFO) collaborated once again to promote Philippine tourism at this year’s Outdoor Adventure and Travel Show (OATS) held at the Vancouver Convention Center from 02 to 03 March 2024.

The Consulate General and PDOT-SFO shared the Philippine booth with the representatives from the Philippine Airlines Vancouver and Infiniti Liveaboard. Together, the team distributed flyers on the 2024 Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada, as well as pamphlets and brochures on the Philippines’ best destination sites – Siargao, Palawan, Boracay, Cebu and Bohol. About 50 pieces of eco bag featuring the new “Love the Philippines” logo were given away to visitors of the Philippine booth.

PDOT - SFO representative, Ms. Stephanie Hermoso, and Philippine Airlines North American Country Manager, Mr. Allan Coo, were both interviewed by Ms. Rowena Papasin, a TFC correspondent and news reporter for ABS-CBN Corporation, about new dive spots, interesting itineraries, and newest travel destinations in the Philippines.

With more than 250 exhibitors, OATS is recognized as Canada’s premier expo for outdoor and adventure activities that showcases the latest outdoor gear and information on various travel attractions and destinations. OATS took place in conjunction with the BC Bike Show which is one of the biggest cycling exhibitions in Canada. Guests of the bike-themed trade show added to the foot traffic of OATS 2024. END
