PH Embassy in Bahrain Assists Three Distressed Filipinos Returning Home

MANAMA 13 March 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, assisted and repatriated three distressed Filipino nationals on 06 March 2024 via Gulf Air.
The repatriates included two females and one male, including an 81-year-old female with a medical condition. Two of the repatriates have been accommodated at the Embassy’s shelter before their repatriation. The Embassy arranged the necessary documents and facilitated the issuance of the required clearances prior to the repatriates’ departure through representations with the Bahraini government agencies concerned.
The Embassy’s Migrant Workers Office (MWO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) also coordinated with the relevant Philippine government agencies to ensure the provision of appropriate airport assistance to the repatriates upon their arrival in Manila.
The Philippine Embassy in Bahrain extends its appreciation to the Bahraini authorities for facilitating the repatriation of these three distressed Filipino nationals. END
