Centro De Filipinas En Madrid Promotes Filipino Businesses

MADRID 18 March 2024 - Entitled, Jornada de Puertas Abiertas Para Eventos or Open House for Events and Celebrations, the Centro featured Filipino restaurants, catering services, florists, event organizers, videographers and photographers as exhibitors to promote their products and services in anticipation of Spanish celebrations such as communions, graduations, weddings and other occasions, which was held on March 09, 2024.

Visitors include Filipinos and Spanish individuals who expressed their excitement over the number of Filipino businesses which they could contact for their celebratory events.

In his remarks, the Philippine Ambassador highlighted the importance of the Centro de Filipinas en Madrid as a conduit between Philippines and Spain, not only in terms of political, economic and cultural promotion but also people to people exchanges and ties. 

He also reiterated that the Centro is intended to promote the political, economic, and cultural interests of the Philippines in Spain and it aims to foster the development of Filipinos living in Spain and welcome foreign nationals who wish to know more about the Philippines.

The Centro de Filipinas en Madrid is the first Philippine Center in Madrid under the auspices of Philippine Ambassador Philippe J. Lhuillier. The Centro was inaugurated in October 2023 by Senate President Juan Miguel F. Zubiri, Senators Pilar Juliana ”Pia”; S. Cayetano, Joseph Victor ‘JV” G. Ejercito and Emmanuel “Joel” Villanueva. END
