PH Consulate General in Manado Distributes Welfare Assistance to 25 Filipinos in Distress

MANADO 04 April 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in Manado’s Assistant-to-Nationals Team led by Vice Consul Manfred Neale M. Manalo and Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) Officer Smith Anthony M. De Los Angeles traveled to Bitung City, a city 42.3 kilometers from Manado City, on 01 April 2024, to visit and check on the welfare and well-being of Filipino fishermen who are currently accommodated in the city’s immigration facility. 

After the visit, Vice Consul Manalo and ATN Officer De Los Angeles proceeded to the immigration facility in Manado City for the same purpose. There are currently twenty-five (25) fishermen in the two cities' immigration facilities. Aside from doing a welfare check, the fishermen were also provided with basic supplies and food provisions.
