DFA Repatriates an Undocumented Filipina in Russia

MOSCOW 19 April 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) through the Philippine Embassy in Moscow, Russian Federation, facilitated the immediate repatriation of an undocumented Filipina in Moscow after receiving a deportation order from a competent Russian Court.

The Filipina entered Russia in December 2018 and had a job as a household service worker. She was not able to renew her visa when it expired during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The Embassy assisted her in securing all necessary immigration documents. Airfare and other repatriation-related expenses were paid through the ATN Fund.

She arrived in the Philippines on 16 April 2024. END
