PH Embassy Joins DPWH in Promotion of PH Infrastructure Projects in Switzerland

BERNE 07 May 2024 – The Philippines's Infrastructure Flagship Programs Information Session and Engagement Program held last 30 April 2024 at the Kursaal Convention Center in Berne. In his address, Philippine Ambassador Faustino M. Dy said, “We (the Philippine Government) are keen to address our country’s infrastructure needs to further boost inclusive growth and ensure sustainable development. And with the cooperation and expertise of bilateral partners such as Switzerland, we hope to achieve this goal within the set timeliness.” He thanked the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Switzerland Global Enterprise, and the Swiss Embassy in Manila for inviting the Philippine Embassy and organizing the information session.
During the information session, the DPWH delegation presented the Philippines’s flagship infrastructure projects under the Build Better More Program, such as the Laguna Lakeshore Road Network Project, the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge Project, Central Mindanao High Standard Highway Project, and Samar and Agusan Daang Maharlika Road Improvement Project.
The Philippine Embassy provided support and assistance to the DPWH delegation led by Assistant Secretary Medmier Malig. The delegation is on a 10-day visit in Switzerland to engage with Swiss firms and organizations to take part in the Philippines’s infrastructure industry, as well as to learn about Swiss infrastructure development and environmental management.
