MOSCOW 28 May 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) through the Philippine Embassy in Moscow, Russian Federation facilitated the repatriation of an undocumented Filipina in Moscow.
The Filipina, a single mother, entered Russia in April 2014 and had jobs such as household service worker and nanny. She was not able to renew her visa when it expired during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been working part-time ever since.
The Embassy assisted her in securing all necessary immigration documents. Airfare and other repatriation-related expenses were paid through the ATN Fund.
She arrived in the Philippines on 17 May 2024. END
