PH Embassy in Brussels Launches Cashless Transactions for Consular Services
Ambassador Jaime Victor B. Ledda and Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General Pablito Mendoza witness the first clients to formally use the Philippine Embassy in Belgium’s cashless payment facility, Brussels, 10 June 2024.
BRUSSELS 13 June 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Brussels launched cashless transactions for its consular services on 10 June 2024.
Ambassador Jaime Victor B. Ledda and Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General Pablito Mendoza were present to witness the first clients use the cashless payment facility. Clients may now use their Belgian Bancontact debit cards to pay for consular services. Cash payments will still be accepted.
This initiative enhances bureaucratic efficiency and sound fiscal management through digitalization in government transactions in line with the principles of Bagong Pilipinas. END
