Filipino-American Chef Wins James Beard Award

LOS ANGELES 14 June 2024 – Filipino-American Chef Lord Maynard Llera won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: California at the 2024 James Beard Awards held in Chicago, Illinois.

Chef Llera features Filipino dishes from his hometown of Quezon Province at his multi-awarded restaurant, "Kuya Lord," located in Melrose, Los Angeles, California.

Dubbed as the "Oscars of food," the James Beard Awards are considered as one of the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry. END
