7 July 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver conducted a successful consular outreach program for Filipinos in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory from June 26 to 27.

The members of the Consular team that conducted the program included Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer, Consul Melanie Diano, Ms. Magdalena Sosa, Ms. Abigale Oira, and Mr. Jandy Zulita.

The team rendered various consular services, including e-Passport processing, notarials, civil registry and dual citizenship processing. The team also conducted on-site registration for overseas voters.

During the visit in Whitehorse, Consul General Ferrer met with Senator Daniel Lang, Member of Parliament Ryan Leef, Mayor Dan Curtis, Councillor Jocelyn Curteanu and Mr. Carl Burgess of the Executive Council Office of the Yukon Government.

Yukon is home to over 30,000 people with an estimated 2,500 Filipino and Filipino-Canadians. END
