7 July 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou participated in the 2014 ASEAN Friendship Bowling Games held at Tianhe Sport Centre on June 14 in conjunction with the celebration of the 47th ASEAN Anniversary.

The Philippine Consulate General Bowling team led by Consul General Raly L. Tejada and Filipinos in Footwear Industry-FFI (a Filipino community organization in Guangzhou) team represented the Philippines during the event.

The Philippine team composed of FFI members was declared as the Champion of the tournament defeating 14 other ASEAN teams in the game. Individual awards for males (2nd runner up, 1st runner up and individual Champion) were all bagged by the Philippine participants. END
