JEDDAH 20 June 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh has donated a second batch of medicines to the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) to support the medical needs of Filipino Hajj pilgrims.
NCMF Secretary Sabuddin Abdurahim received the donation from Chargé d’Affaires Rommel Romato at a turnover ceremony held at the Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah on 11 June 2024. The event was attended by Consul General Edgar Tomas Auxilian and other Philippine government officials including Acting Hajj Attaché Omar Mandia, NCMF officials Director Saleha Sacar, Regional Director Abdulnasser Masorong, Jr., and Mr. Limpi Macapundag, and the Hajj Assistance Team from the Philippine Embassy.
This initiative, which was funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs’ Office of Undersecretary for Migration Affairs, underscores the Philippine government's dedication to ensuring the well-being of Filipinos abroad, particularly the thousands of Filipino pilgrims traveling to the Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj.
