7 July 2014 - The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou participated in the ASEAN Badminton Tournament held at the Asia Badminton Training Centre in Ersha Island, Guangzhou on May 10.

The eight (8) ASEAN Consulates General and their community members in Guangzhou took part in the event as part of the 47th ASEAN Anniversary celebration with the theme “One Vision, One Identity, One Community.” The Philippine Consulate General composed of Mr. Tomas C. Lauzon, Ms. April Anne R. Liong-Resuena and Mr. Joseph E. Brioso, together with three Filipino students namely Ms. Charlton Lajara, Ms. Mary Grace Young and Ms. Phoebe Liong represented the Philippine team which competed in the men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles competition.
