OSLO 21 June 2024 – The Philippines and Iceland marked a momentous milestone in their diplomatic relations as they celebrate their 25th anniversary of bilateral relations with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Bilateral Consultations on 18 June 2024.
Philippine Ambassador to Norway and Iceland Enrico T. Fos and Permanent Secretary of State Martin Eyjólfsson signed the MOU on behalf of their respective agencies on 18 June 2024. The MOU establishes the mechanism for holding regular bilateral consultations to promote cooperation on political, economic, cultural and other areas of mutual concern between the Philippines and Iceland.
Permanent Secretary Eyjólfsson conveyed to Ambassador Fos Iceland's readiness to enter into an MOU during their meeting on 14 June 2024 in Reykjavik. END.
