16 July 2013 - Ambassador Benito B. Valeriano presented his credentials to the Right Honorable Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, President of Nepal as non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

The ceremony was held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Shital Niwas, Kathmandu on Thursday, July 04.  He was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Jaclvn SY. Valeriano and Second Secretary and Consul Edwin Gil Mendoza.

After the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Valeriano met with President Yadav and affirmed the close affinity between the Philippines and Nepal, exemplified by the harmonious relations between Filipinos and Nepalese in the Middle East, as experienced by the former during his service in the Gulf. They also discussed bilateral relations in the areas of health and agriculture and how these can be further enhanced.

President Yadav acknowledged the good relations between Nepal and the Philippines and expressed his desire to further enhance relations in mutually beneficial fields.  END
