MOSCOW 09 July 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) through the Philippine Embassy in Moscow, Russian Federation facilitated the repatriation of five (5) undocumented Overseas Filipinos in Moscow.

The Filipinos were working as household workers in Moscow without the necessary migration documents for one (1) to four (4) years. Due to the Russia-Ukraine crisis, the Filipinos lost their regular jobs and were not able to renew their respective visas. They contacted the Embassy through its Emergency Hotline number +79067382538 and requested immediate repatriation assistance.

The Embassy assisted the undocumented Overseas Filipinos in securing all necessary immigration documents. Airfare and other repatriation-related expenses were paid through the ATN Fund.

They arrived in the Philippines on 05 July 2024. END
