DFA Repatriates Two Undocumented Overseas Filipinos in Russia

MOSCOW 22 July 2024 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) through the Philippine Embassy in Moscow, Russian Federation facilitated the repatriation of two undocumented Overseas Filipinos in Moscow.

The Filipinos arrived in Moscow last year and worked as part-time cleaners and nannies. They could not find stable jobs and were faced with financial difficulties. Because of this, the Filipinos decided to return to the Philippines through the Embassy’s help.

The undocumented Overseas Filipinos were assisted by the Embassy in securing all necessary immigration documents. Airfare and other repatriation-related expenses were paid through the ATN Fund.

They arrived in the Philippines on 19 July 2024. END
