08 July 2014 – A seven-member team from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted consular outreach missions in Roseburg and Portland, Oregon on May 24 and 25, respectively.

The consular outreach missions were organized in coordination with the office of the Philippine Honorary Consul General in Portland and in partnership with the Douglas County Filipino-American Association for the mission in Roseburg, and the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon and Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs for the mission in Portland.

The outreach missions extended various consular services as well as overseas voters registration.

This is the 5th consular outreach mission conducted by the Consulate General in the Pacific Northwest since January of this year.  After California, the Pacific Northwest states of Oregon and Washington have the largest concentration of Filipinos among the 10 states over which the Consulate General exercises jurisdiction.  According to the 2010 US Census, there are 15,861 Filipinos in Oregon.
