09 July 2014 – The Council of Filipino Associations in Flanders (COFAF), headed by its President, Minabelle Siason, pledged to donate US$10,000 for the construction of classrooms in the Talairon Central Elementary School in Oroquieta City, Misamis Oriental.

The pledge was given to Philippine Embassy in Brussles officials last June 22, during COFAF’s annual Philippine Independence Day Celebrations in Brugge, Belgium.

Embassy officials thanked COFAF during the event and urged Filipino citizens to exercise their right to vote overseas and register.

The celebrations also showcased Filipino culture and variety acts, and gathered together hundreds of locals and Filipinos alike. END
