Philippine Ambassador Presents Credentials to Guyanese President

Philippine Ambassador Joseph Gerard B. Angeles presents his Letters of Credence to H.E. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana, as Philippine Non-Resident Ambassador to the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.

GEORGETOWN 09 October 2024 – Philippine Ambassador Joseph Gerard B. Angeles presented his letters of credence to President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana Mohamed Irfaan Ali as non-resident Ambassador on 02 October 2024.

President Ali expressed his desire to continue strengthening the bilateral relationship between the Philippines and Guyana, particularly in the context of provision of human resources to support Guyana’s spectacular economic growth.

Both expressed hope that the Philippines and Guyana would enhance collaboration in agriculture, aquaculture, and human resource development, particularly in the health services sector.

Ambassador Angeles also had the opportunity to hold a Town Hall meeting with the leaders of the Filipino Community in Guyana to inform them about recent developments in the Philippines at the Honorary Consulate General in Georgetown. END
