PH Embassy in Lebanon Conducts Final Resident Election Registration Board Hearing Amid Ongoing Conflict

BEIRUT 28 October 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Lebanon proudly announces the successful completion of its last Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) hearing for overseas voting registration applications. Despite the challenging circumstances posed by the ongoing conflict in the region, the Embassy was able to process a total of 243 applications from July to September 2024.
This hearing marks a significant milestone in the Embassy’s commitment to ensuring that citizens abroad have the opportunity to participate in the democratic process. The Embassy has worked to facilitate this process, adapting to the difficulties presented by the current situation while prioritizing the needs of the Filipino Community in Lebanon.
The Embassy continues to stand by its commitment to serving our citizens and will explore new avenues to enhance the overseas voting registration process in the future. END.
