Philippine Ambassador Presents Credentials to Finnish President

HELSINKI 05 December 2024 – Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Finland Domingo P. Nolasco formally presented his Letter of Credence to President Alexander Stubb at the Presidential Palace on 02 December 2024.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Nolasco conveyed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr’s best wishes and felicitations especially on the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of Finland on 06 December 2024. Ambassador Nolasco further reaffirmed the Philippines’ commitment to strengthen cooperation to advance peace and stability for the Philippines and Finland.
President Stubb congratulated Ambassador Nolasco on the reopening of the Philippine Embassy in Helsinki, Finland in October 2024. The reopening marks a reinvigoration and further deepening of Philippine-Finland relations in various fields such as in education, healthcare, smart and digital solutions, climate change and sustainability, and maritime security, among others.
The Philippines and Finland will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025. END
