Philippine Pencak Silat Team Clinches High Ranking

in 2024 World Pencak Silat Championship in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi PE Third Secretary and Vice Consul Regatta Marie A. Antonio-Escutin (center) joins the Philippine Pencak Silat Team at the closing ceremony of the 2024 World Pencak Silat Championships at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi to mark their successful participation in the event.  

ABU DHABI 26 December 2024 - The Philippine Pencak Silat Team finishes in high note its participation in the 2024 World Pencak Silat Championship in Abu Dhabi, UAE on 18-22 December, ranking 5th overall among the 57 participating countries.  

The Philippine team of five coaches and 22 players competed in most categories of the sport and impressively demonstrated their exceptional skills in artistic performances and combat matches.

The 2024 World Pencak Silat Championship, one of the premier events in martial arts, was held at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi. Organized by the International Pencak Silat Federation, the Championship brought together over 1,200 practitioners of the sport. END
