Seoul 318 July 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Raul S. Hernandez urged Filipino workers living in Korea to participate in a financial literacy seminar in a meeting at the Embassy Chancery on July 14 with the seminar organizers.

Ambassador Hernandez welcomed the plans of Sister Genevieve Jabasa, Director of Bucheon Filipino Migrants Community (BFMC) and Mr. Marlon S. Albao, Regional Head for South Korea of the Global Filipino Investors (TGFI), to jointly hold the “OFW Financial Literacy Seminar,” on September 07 in Incheon, South Korea.

Sr. Genevieve and Mr. Albao invited the Ambassador to the seminar, which aims to guide new Filipino investors in gaining financial knowledge and in understanding available investment options helpful to making important decisions to grow their money and achieve financial freedom.

The seminar is also expected to discuss ways of handling proper money management via personal finance concepts, mutual funds investment, stock market investment and entrepreneurship, they said.

The event, which will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m., is a follow-up to the Financial Literacy Seminar held in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province on June 29. END
