paris21 July 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to France Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro, led the inauguration ceremonies of the re-opened Philippine Honorary Consulate in Nice.  Mr. Arnaud de Raulin, who was recently appointed as Philippine Honorary Consul in Nice, also took his oath of office before Ambassador Lazaro. 

 

Present as well were Mr. Rudy Salles, a Member of Parliament and Vice Mayor of Nice in Charge of External Relations and Tourism.  Mr. de Raulin, a native of Nice, is also a professor at the University of d’Artois specializing in International Law.

 

Mr. de Raulin joins the other five Philippine Honorary Consuls in France (from Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseilles, and Toulouse) and two in Monaco who have committed to promote the Philippines and protect the welfare of Filipinos in their respective areas of jurisdiction. The Office of the Honorary Consul  in Nice has jurisdiction over the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Alpes-Maritimes, Corse du Sud, Hautes-Alpes, Haute-Corse, and Var departments of France.

 

The new Philippine Honorary Consulate is located  at 92 bd de Cimiez, Nice. The Honorary Consulate is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.  The Consulate may be reached, however, at any time through +33 6 64 08 44 92. END
