Philippine Ambassador Meets with Timor-Leste Prime Minister

DILI 07 February 2025 – Philippine Ambassador to Timor-Leste Mary Anne A. Padua paid a courtesy call on Timor-Leste Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão at the Government Palace in Dili on 07 February 2025. 

The two officials discussed strengthening bilateral ties, regional security, and Timor-Leste’s aspirations for ASEAN membership. Prime Minister Gusmão commended the contributions of Filipinos in Timor-Leste, particularly in education, and acknowledged shared regional challenges, including developments in the South China Sea.
