LOS ANGELES 24 February 2025 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles held the first installment of a two-part hybrid seminar entitled, “Briefing on Immigration Developments for Filipinos in the U.S.” on 18 February 2025. The event, which was headlined by Filipino-American legal experts, aimed at addressing community concerns arising from recent developments in U.S. immigration policies.
At the start of the seminar, Deputy Consul General and Acting Head of Post Maria Alnee A. Gamble highlighted the importance of knowing one’s rights and legal options amid the changing U.S. immigration landscape.
The resource speakers, composed of Filipino-American legal practitioners with expertise in U.S. immigration law, then tackled necessary information on Filipinos’ rights that are relevant to their current immigration status in the U.S., as well as practical tips in dealing with immigration authorities.
